Mermaids known on Antares as Naithyes are a water race inhabiting Lis Tides with colonies on Lar Island. They are shapeshifters that have the top of a human and the bottom of a fish in water and can get legs on land. The race created by the great water dragon water is their domain and they have control of it. Able to create tidal waves pull water out of nothing and use water magic.
Mermaids have normal hair colors and eyes even though some say that they can see in the darkest waters and that their eyes glow in the dark. A lot of mermaids do tend to have blue eyes or eyes various shades of the waters that they call home. Some mermaids have pointed ears while others do not.
